Pick 3 is an in-state game that can be played for 50 cents or $1, depending on the type of play selected. EZ Match (cost an additional $1) and Wild Ball (doubles the cost of the Pick 3 play) are each available as add-on features.
Drawings are held twice daily. The Midday drawing is at approximately 12:45 p.m. and the Evening drawing is at approximately 8:59 p.m.

Pick three numbers between 0 and 9 and mark them on the Pick 3 playslip.
Then select the play amount.
Options
Quick Pick: Use Quick Pick ("QP") to allow the computer to choose your numbers randomly.
Decide the order of your numbers match: Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Front Pair, Back Pair, Combo or 1-Off.
- Straight: Match your numbers in exact order as drawn.
- Box: Match your numbers in any order.
- Straight/Box: Match your numbers in exact order or any order.
- Front Pair: Match the first two digits in exact order.
- Back Pair: Match the last two digits in exact order.
- Combo: Gives you all possible three-number combinations of the chosen numbers for an exact-order win.
- 1-Off: Win if your numbers are 1-Off the winning numbers drawn.
Midday, Evening Or Both: Select "Midday," "Evening" or "Both" depending on the drawing(s) for which you want your play to be eligible.
Multiple Draws: Play the same numbers for up to 14 consecutive drawings (Midday OR Evening) by selecting "MULTI DRAW."

To play EZ Match, just fill out a Pick 3 EZ Match playslip AND mark the EZ Match box. Players can add EZ Match for an additional $1 per Pick 3 play. Each play with the EZ Match option prints as a separate ticket.Tickets played with EZ Match option cannot be canceled.
Select EZ Match in any or all of the EZ Match boards played.
How to Win EZ Match
If the EZ Match option is chosen, three EZ Match numbers will print on the Pick 3 ticket below the Pick 3 numbers. If any of the EZ Match numbers match the selected Pick 3 numbers (regardless of order), the player instantly wins the prize amount printed next to the matched EZ Match numbers.
One Up or One Down, You Win!
1-Off with Pick 3 gives you 27 chances to win on a single ticket. You can play 1-Off by marking the play type on the Pick 3 playslip (shown above, left).
Give your playslip to the retailer to process your ticket. Check your ticket to confirm that the numbers and date are correct. Sign your ticket and store it in a safe place. Check the next Pick 3 drawing to see if you've won!
Cost
You can play for 50 cents or $1. Prize payouts for 50-cent plays are half the payouts for $1 plays.

Two Missouri Lottery games - Pick 3 and Pick 4 - have liability limits, meaning players may be denied the purchase of numbers when a certain number of tickets with a particular combination have been sold. Liability limits have been placed on these games to keep the Lottery from selling more winning tickets than it can pay. The liability limit is $1.5 million for Pick 3 and $1.5 million for Pick 4. Setting liability limits is standard in the Lottery industry on games with fixed payouts.
On rare occasions, popular Pick 3 and Pick 4 numbers may "sell out" and cannot be purchased. Liability limits are reached when a large number of people have chosen a certain number combination, such as the Pick 4 combination 2-0-0-0, which was popular on Jan. 1, 2000, to mark the new millennium.
There is no need for liability limits on Lotto and Powerball numbers, since jackpots are pari-mutuel, meaning the jackpot prize is divided equally among all its winners.
The Missouri Lottery has an obligation to raise as much money for public education programs, while also ensuring that we have funds available to pay winners. To accomplish this, we must be able to limit our potential payout to an amount that we expect to reasonably pay based on the sales we generate for this game.
